1. Who We Are

TaskPopup is developed and published by QuadBuzz LLC, a limited liability company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. We build privacy-first software tools for individuals.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

TaskPopup is designed from the ground up to avoid collecting personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials (no account is created)
• The content of your tasks, notes, categories, or schedules
• Your conversations with the on-device AI assistant (Bob)
• Your location, contacts, photos, or any other device data beyond what you explicitly enter into the app
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes
• Behavioral analytics tied to your identity

3. Data Stored On Your Device

All app data — including tasks, categories, schedule configurations, instance notes, notification preferences, and theme settings — is stored exclusively on your device using iOS local storage (AsyncStorage). This data:

• Never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it
• Is not accessible to QuadBuzz LLC or any third party
• May be included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled in iOS Settings — this is controlled entirely by you and Apple, not by TaskPopup
• Is deleted permanently when you uninstall the app

4. On-Device AI (Bob)

The AI assistant named Bob is powered by a Qwen3 0.6B GGUF model that runs entirely on your device using on-device machine learning inference. This means:

• No text you type or speak to Bob is transmitted to any external server or AI service
• Bob has no internet connectivity and cannot access external services
• AI inference is performed locally by your iPhone's CPU/GPU
• Conversation history used by Bob is stored only in active app memory and is not persisted between app sessions

5. Microphone and Speech Recognition

TaskPopup requests access to your microphone solely to support voice task input. When you use the microphone feature:

• Speech recognition is performed using Apple's on-device speech recognition framework (Speech.framework)
• Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted by TaskPopup
• You may revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone

TaskPopup does not use microphone access for any purpose other than the voice input feature you explicitly activate by tapping the microphone button.

6. Notifications

TaskPopup requests notification permissions to deliver task reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device using iOS local notification APIs. No notification content is transmitted to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → TaskPopup.

7. In-App Purchases

TaskPopup offers optional in-app purchases — tips and a monthly subscription — processed through Apple's StoreKit and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription management platform.

• Apple: Handles all payment processing. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to purchase transactions. We receive only anonymized, aggregated revenue data from Apple.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user ID (a randomly generated identifier, not linked to your identity) and your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your task data or any other personal content. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not receive your full name, credit card information, or any payment details from Apple.

8. Analytics

This website (quadbuzzllc.com) uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic. This is limited to the website only and does not extend to the TaskPopup iOS app. The TaskPopup app itself contains no analytics SDK of any kind.

9. Share Extension

TaskPopup includes a Share Extension that allows you to share content from other apps (e.g., URLs from Safari) into TaskPopup. Content received through the Share Extension:

• Is processed locally on your device by the app extension
• Is not transmitted to any server by QuadBuzz LLC
• Is stored on your device as part of your task data if you choose to save it

10. Children's Privacy

TaskPopup is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because TaskPopup collects no personal information from any user, it is inherently protective of younger users. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at support@quadbuzzllc.com.

11. Data Security

Because TaskPopup stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit it to any server, the security of your data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms, including iOS data protection, device encryption, and Face ID / Touch ID. We encourage you to keep your iOS software up to date and to use a strong device passcode.

12. Your Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you on our servers, there is typically nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. All your TaskPopup data is on your device and under your control.

• To delete your data: Uninstall the app. All local data is removed.
• To export your data: Use the iCloud backup feature or the app's share functionality.
• To manage purchase history: Manage through your Apple ID settings or contact Apple support.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or California and have questions about your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA, please contact us at support@quadbuzzllc.com. Given that we collect no personal data, most GDPR/CCPA provisions do not apply in practice.

13. Third-Party Links

TaskPopup may contain links to third-party websites (for example, the App Store or our website). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of TaskPopup after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will not make changes that meaningfully reduce your privacy protections without providing advance notice in the app.
